Heat Pump Planning for New Homes and Buildings, Starting at the Blueprint

The best time to plan heating and cooling is before the framing goes up. Send us your architectural plans and our new construction specialist will calculate the heating and cooling loads, size the equipment, and recommend Mitsubishi Electric options built for an Upstate New York or Vermont winter, with a written estimate before anything is installed.

Who we work with

Built for Everyone at the Table

Homeowners

Know your heating and cooling plan and its cost early, so it fits your build budget instead of surprising it.

Builders & general contractors

One point of contact for HVAC numbers while you bid, and a crew that works around your construction schedule.

Architects & designers

Early input on outdoor unit placement, line-set routes and indoor unit styles that work with the design, not against it.

Meet Dan Davis, New Construction HVAC Design & Estimating Specialist

Mitsubishi-trained

Dan has been with Superior CO-OP HVAC since 2022 and already knows our customers from running the office and client services. He now also reviews architectural plans for proposed homes and buildings. He runs the load calculations and sizes the equipment himself, then puts together Mitsubishi system recommendations and an installation estimate. When you're ready to move forward, he hands the project to our installation team with everything they need.

The process

How the Plan Review Works

  1. Send your drawings and project details

Floor plans, elevations and anything else you have, plus the project town and your build timeline.

  2. We calculate the loads

Dan works out the heating and cooling requirements from your plans and sizes the equipment to match.

  3. We recommend Mitsubishi options

You'll see which systems fit those numbers and the layout, whether that's ductless, ducted or a mix.

  4. You receive a project estimate

A written installation estimate based on the plans as submitted.

  5. We coordinate next steps

Once you approve, our installation team schedules around your construction timeline.

Turnaround depends on project size and how complete the plans are. We'll tell you what to expect once we have them.

Before you send

What to Include With Your Plans

  • Floor plans for every level
  • Elevations or sections, if you have them
  • Project address or town
  • Square footage and number of floors
  • Insulation, window or energy specs, if known
  • Target build or move-in date
  • Builder or architect contact (optional)

Submit Your Building Plans

Start with the request form so we have your contact and project details, then email your drawings (PDF, JPG or PNG) to info@scoophvac.com with your name and project town in the subject line.

We use your plans only to review your project and prepare an estimate, and we don't share them outside our company. Only send plans you're authorized to share.
